In short
- You can play as a guest without giving us your name or email.
- If you sign in with Google or Apple, we save your name, email and game progress so you can keep playing on other devices.
- The game shows ads from Google AdMob. Where the law requires it, we ask for your consent first, and you can change your choice at any time.
- If notifications are on, the game may send you a few friendly reminders, such as when your lives are full again or when you haven't played for a while. You can turn them off at any time in your device settings.
- We don't sell your personal information. We use Google Analytics for Firebase to learn how the game is played and to measure our own ads for the game. The game doesn't use crash-reporting tools.
- You can delete your account and its data at any time, in the game or by emailing us.
Who we are
Arrow Unjam ("the game", "we", "us") is a puzzle game for iPhone, iPad and Android, made by an independent developer. This policy explains what information the game and this website (arrow-unjam.web.app) collect, why, and the choices you have.
For questions or requests about your data, email vodinhtai0@gmail.com.
Information we collect
When you sign in
You can play as a guest, or sign in with Google or Apple. For a guest we only create a random account ID. When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive from them and store:
- your name and email address (if you use Apple's "Hide My Email", we only see the relay address Apple gives us);
- your profile photo link (Google only), and which service you signed in with;
- your account ID.
Game progress
To save your progress and bring it to your other devices, we store your current level, the stars you earned on each level, your coins, boosters, lives and unlimited-lives time, whether you bought Remove Ads, a random ID for each device in your account, and when your account was created and last saved. We store this for guests too.
Notifications
On iPhone, iPad and Android 13 or later, the game asks once whether it may send you notifications. On older Android versions, notifications are on unless you turn them off in your device settings. While notifications are on, we store for each device:
- the game's installation ID (a random identifier that Firebase gives this installation of the game, which Firebase Cloud Messaging uses to deliver notifications to it);
- the device type (iPhone/iPad or Android), the game's language and the device's time zone (as an offset from UTC);
- when you last opened the game, and your leaderboard rank at that time;
- when your lives will be full again, if you leave the game with no lives left (cleared once that reminder is sent or when you open the game again);
- the account ID you play with (guest accounts included), used to look up your leaderboard rank and current level;
- which reminder was sent last, and when.
We use this to send a few reminders each time you stop playing, each one at most once: when your lives are full again (only if you left the game with no lives left); after about a day without opening the game, about the leaderboard (such as your rank, players who have passed you, or how many stars you need for the next rank); and after about two days, about a week and about a month. The one after a month is the last, and nothing more is sent until you open the game again. Reminders never go out between 21:00 and 9:00 in your local time, and are at least 12 hours apart. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings (iPhone and iPad: Settings → Notifications → Arrow Unjam; Android: Settings → Apps → Arrow Unjam → Notifications).
Purchases
Payments are handled by Apple (App Store) and Google (Google Play). We never see your card or payment details. The game only learns which item you bought, so it can give it to you.
Invites
If you open Invite Friends, we create an invite code for your account. When a new player enters a code, we store which account the code belongs to and when it was entered, and later when the new player reached the level needed for the reward, so we can give both players their rewards. The player who invited you sees how many players used their code, and your name as it appears on the leaderboard once you reach that level. If you install the game on Android from an invite link, Google Play passes the code in the link to the game, which enters it for you. Sharing your link goes through your device's share menu: we never see who you send it to, and we don't access your contacts.
Advertising
The game shows ads through Google AdMob. To show and measure ads and to prevent fraud, Google's software in the game may collect your device's advertising ID, your IP address, information about your device and the app, and how you interact with ads. See Advertising and your choices.
Usage statistics
The game uses Google Analytics for Firebase to learn how it is played and to measure the ads we run for it (for example, how many players who installed the game from an ad keep playing). It records when you install and open the game and how long you play, the levels you start and finish (with your stars, and whether you cleared the level, gave up, left or restarted), the rewarded ads you watch to the end, your purchases, and when you share your invite link or enter a friend's code. Along with these, it sends the game's installation ID, your device's advertising ID (on iPhone and iPad, only if you allow tracking), your device model, operating system and language, the game's version, and your approximate location (country or city), which Google works out from your IP address. These statistics aren't linked to your account, name or email. See Advertising and your choices.
Support requests
If you contact us through the form on our support page, we receive your email address, the topic, your message, any device details and screenshots you add, and the page language. To limit spam, the form also keeps a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address for one day.
On your device
The game saves your progress and settings (such as music, sound and vibration) on your device, so it also works offline.
What we don't collect
The game doesn't use crash-reporting tools, and doesn't use your device's location services (GPS), contacts, camera, microphone or photos.
How we use your information
- To run your account and keep your progress in sync across devices.
- To show the leaderboard.
- To send you reminders, if notifications are on.
- To deliver and restore your purchases.
- To show ads, which keep the game free. Where the law requires it, ads are only personalized with your consent.
- To understand how the game is played, such as which levels are too hard, and to measure and improve our ads for the game.
- To answer your support requests.
- To keep the game and our servers secure, and to prevent cheating and spam.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, we rely on these legal bases: providing the game and your account to you (our contract with you), your consent (personalized ads, notifications, and using usage statistics for advertising), and our legitimate interests (security, preventing spam, answering support requests and understanding how the game is played).
Leaderboard
Once you earn a star, you appear on the in-game leaderboard. Other players can see a short form of your name (such as "Alex N."), your total stars, the number of levels you've beaten and your current level. Guests appear too, as "Guest" followed by four random-looking characters (such as "Guest 3FA2"). Your email, photo and account ID are never shown.
Advertising and your choices
- Consent: in the European Economic Area, the UK, Switzerland and other places where it is required, the game asks for your consent before showing personalized ads. Google Analytics follows the same choice. You can change your choice at any time in Settings → PRIVACY SETTINGS.
- iPhone and iPad: your advertising ID is only shared if you allow the game to track you. You can change this in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Android: you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device's settings (usually Settings → Privacy → Ads, or Settings → Google → Ads).
- Remove Ads: buying Remove Ads turns off banner ads and the ads between levels. Ads you choose to watch for a reward stay available.

Where your data is stored
Your account and progress are stored on Supabase servers in Seoul, South Korea. Google's services (Firebase, AdMob and Gmail) may process data in many countries. Our providers protect data sent abroad with safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
- Account and progress: until you delete your account.
- After you delete your account: your profile is removed from our database straight away. Only your account ID is kept for one day, so your other devices can't recreate the account, and then it is deleted too.
- Guest accounts: they aren't linked to your name or email. A guest account that isn't played for 180 days is deleted from our server, unless Remove Ads was bought with it. If the game is still on your device, it saves your progress again the next time you play.
- Notification records: deleted when you turn notifications off (the next time you open the game), when you play with the same account on another device or reinstall the game (only the device you used last gets reminders), when the installation ID stops working (for example, after you uninstall the game) or reminders fail to arrive three times in a row, or 60 days after you last opened the game. If you delete your account, your account ID and rank are removed from these records straight away.
- Support emails: as long as needed to help you and handle any follow-up, then deleted.
- Spam protection (the hashed IP address): one day.
- Usage statistics: Google Analytics deletes the details tied to the game's installation ID or advertising ID after 2 months. Only totals that don't identify you are kept longer.
- Advertising data: kept by Google under its own policies.
How to delete your account
In the game: open Settings, tap Delete account and confirm. If you signed in with Google or Apple, you'll be asked to sign in again. This deletes your progress, coins, boosters, lives and leaderboard entry from your device and our server, removes your account ID from your devices' notification records, and deletes your sign-in account.
Without the game: email vodinhtai0@gmail.com from the email address of the Google or Apple account you play with, with the subject "Delete my Arrow Unjam account". We'll delete the account and its data within 30 days and confirm by email. Guest accounts aren't linked to an email address, so they can only be deleted in the game.
Deleting your account can't be undone. Your purchase records stay with Apple or Google, so you can get Remove Ads back with Restore Purchases.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or get a copy of your personal information, to object to or limit how we use it, and to withdraw your consent at any time. To make a request, email vodinhtai0@gmail.com. We'll reply within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
Arrow Unjam is suitable for players of all ages, but it is made for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under that age. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Our server checks your sign-in before saving anything to your account, and the database only accepts changes from our own server code. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we'll also give notice in the game or on this page before they apply.
